To strengthen team cohesion and enrich employees’ leisure life, Gemhorn Plain Gold Factory meticulously organized a team building event on August 20, 2025, under the theme “Riding the Rapids with One Heart · Breaking Waves to a New Journey.” More than 180 employees and their families went together to Qingyuan, where they enjoyed the majestic beauty of the “Little Three Gorges” on the clear waters of the North River and braved the rapids and high-altitude walks at Huangteng Gorge. Now, let’s look back on this wonderful journey together.

First Stop: Cruising on the Clear North River

The first stop was Qingyuan’s North River. Towering mountains and clear blue waters stretched before us, their majestic beauty instantly washing away the fatigue of the journey.

Everyone enjoyed cruising along the river as the boat passed through the beautiful Seventy-Two Peaks. The majestic charm described by Su Shi in his poem — “The skies open up at Qingyuan Gorge, the earth curves into a crystal-clear bay” — came to life before our eyes.

With the river waves rolling and a gentle breeze blowing, colleagues took group photos on the deck. What was captured was not only the landscape but also the spirit of solidarity among the Gemhorn team.

As green mountains stood like screens and clear waters flowed like ribbons, we enjoyed an authentic river feast against this stunning backdrop around noon, savoring the beauty and tranquility of the journey.

The Challenge: Braving the Rapids, Gathering Strength in the Clouds

In the afternoon, the real challenge began! The team arrived at Huangteng Gorge to experience the high-speed rafting and Tianmen Suspended Bridge, kicking off the adventure mode!

Known as the “King of Drop” rafting experience, Huangteng Gorge got everyone’s adrenaline pumping! With over 130 drops, the screams of the team reached new heights!

When rafts crossed paths, a water fight was inevitable. Everyone went all out with water guns and buckets, turning the waves into a playful battlefield and strengthening friendships along the way!

Some brave teammates took the cable car to the viral Tianmen Suspended Bridge. Standing on the glass bridge 500 meters above the ground, they looked down at the breathtaking scenery through the transparent glass beneath their feet. They took photos to capture the brave moments of conquering the heights.

Facing the dizzying heights below, we moved forward together, encouraging one another, writing in the clouds the valuable spirit of Gemhorn’s “unity and cohesion.”

On the way down, everyone rode high-speed sledges, racing through the lush green mountains like a flowing painting, bringing this thrilling adventure to a close.

Grand Banquet: Delicious Food with Laughter, Gathering Strength to Sail Again

In the evening, the journey concluded perfectly with a grand banquet. Amid delicious food and joyful laughter, we broke down barriers and deeply felt the warmth of the Gemhorn family!

Mr. Cai Weidong, Deputy General Manager of Gemhorn and Head of the Plain Gold Factory, took the stage to deliver a speech. He acknowledged the current challenges of high gold prices and market pressure but emphasized that the more difficult the times, the more everyone needs to unite and overcome hardships together. He reflected on the past: “Since the factory was established in 2002, we pioneered palladium gold, transitioned to K-gold, and expanded into hard gold. Every innovation and transformation has been made possible by everyone’s efforts.” Mr. Cai also shared the positive feedback from overseas clients on the plain gold products at the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, stating, “This achievement belongs to all of us. Expanding into the international market requires us to pool our strength and strive together for a brighter tomorrow for Gemhorn!”

Afterwards, Mr. Cai presented anniversary gifts to employees who have been with the Plain Gold Factory for eight years. This gesture was not only a sincere tribute to the “cornerstones” of the plain gold team but also the highest praise for the enduring team spirit of Gemhorn!

The joyful time passed quickly,
But the emotions and strength forged during it will last.
The rapids of Huangteng Gorge tempered our courage to face challenges,
The solidarity in the clouds built  for walking side by side.
In the future, we will move forward with firmer belief,
Riding the industry’s waves together with one heart,
Using unity as our sail and courage as our oar,
