This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania. Over the years, China-Tanzania relations have consistently been at the forefront of China-Africa cooperation, forming a comprehensive and multi-faceted mutually beneficial partnership. On September 12th, members of the Federation of Miners Association of Tanzania (FEMATA), accompanied by the Shenzhen Time-honored Brands Association, conducted a field visit and inspection tour in Shuibei. During this visit, they specifically toured Gimmon Jewelry and Jinhong Jewelry, two enterprises under the Gimmon Group.

Tanzania is a significant producer of gold and colored gemstones. It is not only renowned for Tanzanite but also rich in various gemstones including rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and spinel. Concurrently, its gold production ranks fourth in Africa, with an annual output of approximately 40 metric tons. FEMATA, as the national metal mining industry association in Tanzania, is dedicated to promoting and advancing the development of the country's mining sector. It actively organizes and participates in various international exhibitions and events, seeking collaboration opportunities with global investors.

During the visit, Chen Jiayan, Party Committee Secretary of Gimmon Group, along with senior and middle management personnel, warmly received the delegation and held an exchange symposium. At the meeting, Chen Jiayan provided an overview of Gimmon Group's business development in the sectors of jewelry retail, manufacturing, and jewelry-related real estate. She also presented the international guests with the development history and potential of Shenzhen's Shuibei jewelry industry. The delegation members showcased Tanzanian gemstone roughs, and both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding potential cooperation on the supply of colored gemstone raw materials.

Subsequently, the delegation conducted on-site visits to the major exhibition halls of Gimmon Jewelry and Jinhong Jewelry. By appreciating fine jewelry pieces including gold items, machine-woven chains, and ruby & sapphire products, they gained a deeper understanding of Gimmon Group's R&D and production capabilities, as well as its product portfolio. The delegation members expressed high recognition and praise for Gimmon's product design and technological innovation. They stated that Tanzania possesses vast and diverse mineral resources, capable of meeting the diversified demands of the Chinese jewelry market. Meanwhile, Gimmon Group's business covers multiple key areas of the jewelry industry with a rich and diverse product system. This represents a high degree of compatibility between the two sides, indicating promising prospects for cooperation.

Chen Jiayan emphasized that this visit by the international guests presented an excellent opportunity to deepen mutual exchanges and explore cooperation. She expressed the hope that both sides, under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), would embrace an open and inclusive mindset, jointly seek complementarity of strengths, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
