To implement the blood donation mechanism featuring "government leadership, multi-department collaboration, and whole-society participation," and to share Shenzhen’s blood donation experience, the "2024 National Blood Management Conference Field Study and Exchange Activity" was held on the afternoon of July 12 at the GMOND Jewelry Group Party-Mass Service Center in Shuibei International Center, Luohu District.

Chen Jiayan, Party Committee Secretary of GMOND Jewelry Group, was invited to participate in the symposium alongside leaders from:

• Health commission departments of provinces (autonomous regions/municipalities) nationwide

• Provincial blood centers

• Shenzhen Red Cross Society

• Shenzhen Blood Center

• Luohu District Government

• Luohu District Health Bureau

• Luohu District Non-Public Enterprises Party Committee

• Shuibei Jewelry Park Joint Party Committee

• "China Good Person" awardee Lai Jiahe

  At the symposium, Secretary Chen Jiayan shared the work experience of the "Love Overflowing in Shuibei" voluntary blood donation joint initiative. This large-scale public welfare activity, initiated by the GMOND Party Committee, involves nine buildings across Shuibei Jewelry Park and Lilang Jewelry Park, hundreds of爱心 enterprises, caring citizens, and volunteers.

Since 2016, Gemhorn Jewelry has consistently responded to the call of the GMOND Party Committee, actively encouraging employees to donate blood and supporting Shenzhen’s voluntary blood donation cause. In October 2022, Lan Jiaqiang, an employee from Gemhorn’s K-gold factory, successfully donated hematopoietic stem cells, saving the life of a 17-year-old teenager with severe thalassemia. His act greatly inspired Gemhorn staff to engage in public welfare, with many joining the China Marrow Donor Program to contribute to life-saving efforts.

To date, the "Love Overflowing in Shuibei" initiative has recorded 2,798 participants with a total blood donation volume exceeding 1.12 million milliliters. This has alleviated clinical blood shortages in Shenzhen and provided critical support for patients’ lives. This marks the initiative’s second recognition as a model case in national-level exchanges, following its feature at the "6th National Blood Donation Promotion and Volunteer Service Exchange Conference."

The achievements of "Love Overflowing in Shuibei" and its "Party Building + Public Welfare" model were commended by attending leaders. GMOND received the "Guangdong Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Promotion Award (Group Category) for 2021-2022" from the Guangdong Health Commission and Guangdong Red Cross.
