To enhance fire safety awareness and emergency self-rescue capabilities across factory staff while ensuring fail-safe production safety, Gemhorn Jewelry’s Lilang Branch organized fire drills for all factories from November 7 to 11.

Conducted as an unannounced and unpublicized surprise exercise, the drill encompassed emergency rescue, safe evacuation, rapid assembly, and live-fire simulations. It realistically replicated sudden fire scenarios to provide hands-on learning for mastering escape protocols and emergency operation of firefighting equipment.

Within production workshops, medical teams administered first aid to simulated casualties while fire suppression teams swiftly extinguished "on-site fires." The rescue process demonstrated tense yet orderly execution, highlighting the professionalism of these safety guardians.

At 8:30 AM, piercing alarms marked the drill’s commencement. Thanks to regular fire safety training, all factories completed full evacuations within emergency plan timelines.

After assembling at safe zones and accounting for personnel, the exercise transitioned to practical operations. Safety officers detailed the correct usage of various escape masks, fire extinguishers, and fire hoses, guiding participants through hands-on practice.

Smoke hoods and gas masks can extend effective escape time to 30 minutes, significantly increasing survival rates. Mastering these two "lifesaving tools" builds a critical second line of defense for personal safety.

With theory reinforced through practice, all personnel proceeded to group exercises using dry powder and carbon dioxide extinguishers. Direct engagement with fire sources not only taught equipment operation but also strengthened psychological resilience and response competence during real emergencies.

Notably, Gemhorn conducts annual fire drills during China’s National Fire Safety Awareness Month to both elevate staff preparedness and test the feasibility/effectiveness of factory emergency plans. Safety Director Zhang Lijun commended employees’ emergency responsiveness during post-drill debriefing. He reiterated Gemhorn’s "Surprise Drills, Prevention Before Ignition" policy, emphasizing sustained commitment to regular safety advocacy and efficient emergency drills—safeguarding both production safety and employee lives
